Joan Pinette McKee, 90 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the Solaris Health Care of Lake City.  She was born the youngest of 3 children to the late Peter Pinette and Lea Labbe Pinette in Lewiston, Maine.  Mrs McKee had made her home in Lake City since 1974 having previously lived in St. Croix, Virgin Islands and Lewiston, Maine.  She was a graduate of Lewiston High School and attended Bates College.  Mrs McKee was of the Catholic Faith and a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City where she also worked for 15 years as the Epiphany Catholic School secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Ronald Eugene McKee; her brother, Richard "Dick" Pinette; and her sister, Janice Levesque.

Survivors include her children, Mike McKee (Libby), Lake City, Kathy McCarty (David), Fort White, Patty Giddens (Bert), Lake City and Matt McKee (Lori), Fort White; five grandchildren, Angela, Heather, Kathryn, Amanda and Taylor; and five great-grandchildren also survive.

A memorial mass will be conducted on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City with Rev. Bob Hoffman officiating.  A reception will immediately follow at the Parrish Hall.  A private interment will be held at a later date at St. Madeleine Memorial Garden and Cemetery in High Springs.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Epiphany Catholic School at 1937 Epiphany Ct., Lake City, FL 32025.
