IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy Von
Musser
July 6, 1935 – December 31, 2024
Jimmy Von Musser, 89, of Lake City, FL went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 31, 2024. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
In 1935, Jimmy was born in Bluefield, WV to Von and Virginia Musser. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 18 after graduating from Beaver High School in 1953. Upon military discharge, he began his career with the United States Postal Service where he remained until his retirement.
Shortly after he retired, Jimmy and his wife of over 40 years, Gloria, relocated from Jensen Beach, FL to Lake City, FL. They loved traveling with his life-long friends and were faithful members of Parkview Baptist Church for over 25 years.
A nature lover his whole life, his favorite pastime was fishing. Some of his prized catches were bass, bluegill, and red bellies. Anyone who knew Jimmy also knew that he was a loyal superfan of the Florida Gators, and one of his greatest passions in life was watching the Orange and Blue anytime they played. His true pride and joy, however, was spending time with his devoted family.
While he may no longer be with us, his sense of humor, love of music, and infectious spirit will forever live on. Chomp, chomp, go Gators!
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Musser; father, Von; mother, Virginia; son, Johnny; brother, Robert (Bobby); and grandson, Michael Spaeth.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Spaeth; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Chris Branham; granddaughters Tiffany, Anna, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Lexie, Tommy, and Kevin; brother, Gary Musser of Bluefield; sister-in-law, Gwen Musser; stepdaughter Kim Routen (David); step granddaughters Ella, Charlotte, and Audrey; nieces and nephews; and, many cousins and friends.
