Jimmie Arnold McCook

Apr 20, 1942 — Jun 20, 2026

Lake City, Florida

Jimmie Arnold McCook, 84, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026. He was born in Falmouth, Florida on April 20, 1942 to Bascom and Lottie McCook. A proud veteran, Jimmie honorably served in the Armed Forces, carrying the values of duty and loyalty with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he brought that same dedication to his career with the Bell companies where he worked as an Installer for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. More than anything, Jimmie was a devoted family man. He shared 58 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Linda. As a father, he was a steady anchor, always working hard to provide the very best for his family. Jimmie had a passion for gardening, old cars and tractors and he could almost always be found outside tinkering with his latest project.

He is survived by his wife, Linda McCook; his children, Angela (Kevin) Jasmin and Tony (Amanda) McCook; and his grandchildren Gabrielle and Nathaniel Jasmin, and Carrigan and Camdyn McCook. He also leaves behind his brothers Windol, Gene and Cleatos. He was preceded in death by his parents Bascom and Lottie, and his sister, Jeanette.
