Jewel Edward Dotson

Mr. Jewel Edward Dotson, 89, on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center following an extended illness. He is the son of the late John Franklin and Daisy Mae Suttles Dotson. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, William, and Roger Dotson, and three sisters, Alberta May, Janet Hollway, and Dorothy Davault. He made O’Brien his home for the past thirty-five years after moving from Dayton, TN. He was the proprietor of Dotson Discount Nursery, and he loved listening to country music and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Rosemary Dotson, O’Brien, FL; two sons, James Meyers (Crystal), Chattanooga, TN; Farren J. Dotson, California. One sister, Carolyn Sneed, Dayton, TN; three grandchildren, Taylor Peacock, Rhieanon Tipton, Rodman Nowers; four great-grandchildren, Keith, Jimmy Jewel, Cypress, and Kenzly. The Family wants to thank Haven Hospice Home Health Care and the Suwannee Valley Care Center for the great care and respect they showed towards our family during this time.
