Jerry Edward "Bo Jack" Carswell, 75, of Lake City, Florida, passed away suddenly on April 2nd, 2011. He was born on March 15th, 1936, in Ozark, Alabama, the son of late Louise and Julian Carswell. He was the youngest of three siblings. He graduated from Clay County High School and attended South Georgia College. He moved to Lake City from Green Cove Springs in 1961. Jerry was co-owner of Carswell Timber Company for 53 years. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship and served as an elder for many years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Owens Carswell; daughters, Terran (Billy) Hale, Tona (Mike) Crews; son, Ty (Pam) Carswell; grandchildren, Lindsay Hale, Jordan Hale, Stephanie (Rob) Price, Aaron Cain, Sarah (Chris) Bullard, Amy Cain, Koty (Kellina) Crews, Josey Crews, Tucker Crews, Haley (David) Beckner, Seth Carswell; great-grandchildren, Juliahna and Olivia Price, Eden and Bella Crews; brother, Alex (Joyce) Carswell; sister, Jane Crawley. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and brother-in-law, James Crawley. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Buddy Meloy officiating.
