Mr. Jerald "Jerry" Dalrymple, 74, of Lake City died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. A  native of Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Jerald and Rita Barelli Dalrymple. Jerald retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and also retired from the Department of Corrections after 20 years of service. He enjoyed vegetable and fruit tree gardening, raising chickens and his cat Sami, and being surrounded by his family who he loved to share his culinary skills with.

Mr. Dalrymple is survived by his wife, Janet Dalrymple; three daughters, Lorna Shirley (Rick) of Olmulgee, OK, Desi Joye (Ken) and Teri Guth (Ed) all of Lake City; two sons, Ty Jordan (Nicole) of Starke, Jerry Dalrymple, Jr. of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Dalrymple will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Tyre officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
