Jeffrey Lee "Jeff" Coleman

Jeffrey Lee “Jeff” Coleman, 59, of Wellborn, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 30, 1966 and has made the North Florida area his home all of his life. Graduated from Suwannee High School in 1984. He worked for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office for a little over 28 years, retiring with the rank of Major in 2014. Jeff was an Army/National Guard veteran. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting guns and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Kay Fahey (Kenny) of Vancouver, WA; grandson, Connor Fahey of Vancouver, WA; mother, Veronica Senter of Wellborn; father, Jimmy Lee Coleman of Wellborn; and his sisters, Karen Gingrich, Kelli Coleman and Jennifer Featherston (John) all of Jacksonville. Many extended family members and friends also survive.

A memorial service for Jeff will be conducted on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lewis Gooch officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
