Thomas Jeffrey "Jeff" Parker, 51, of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. He was born in Gainesville, Florida on July 31, 1970 and has made the Lake Butler/Lake City area his home most of his life. He was currently working for SPATCO as a Heavy Maintenance Crew Leader, and was the one that everyone went to for advice to fix anything. He loved helping people fix things and tinkering on things. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, being outdoors and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Colen Crews.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Joye Crews Parker of Lake Butler; sons, Tyler Parker (Jeanette Smithey) of Lake City and Brant Parker (Rachael Steedley) of Lake Butler; mother, Linda E. Wendel of Lake City; brother-in-law, Brian Crews (Cheyanne) of Lake City; and mother-in-law, Martha Crews of Lake City. Two nieces, Kaitlin and Addison Crews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service for Jeff will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Troy Rumore officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
