Jean Guerry Wilson, 81, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 16, 2025 at the Solaris Healthcare of Lake City, after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City on October 19, 1943 to the late Thomas Mitchell Guerry and Arveda Lanier Guerry. She was raised in the Alexandria, Virginia area and after graduating High School, moved back to Florida, where she attended the Massey Business College. She worked in the Medical Field as a Medical Records clerk for a little over 23 years with Dr. Lima and Dr. Fernandez. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren, playing cards, fishing, camping and tending to her yellow roses. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Connie Brown and Pat Keital.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 61 years, Leroy Wilson of Lake City; daughters, Kelly Bailey (Aubrey), Dawna Robinson (John) and Mary Harrison (Randy) all of Lake City. Nine grandchildren, Leanne Huesman (Matt), Daniel Bailey (Chrystal), Rebecca Paulk (Clay), Kimberly Bailey (Landon), Tim Herringshaw (Whittney), Kevin Herringshaw (Jessica), Ashley Harrison (Josh), Marrisa Brogdon (Kaleb) and Ryan Harrison (Amber) and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
