Jean Ann Garber, 63 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala.  She was born in Virginia and had lived in North Florida and Lake City for the past 30 years having previously lived in Illinois.  Ms. Garber was of the Baptist faith and had attended both Parkview Baptist Church and Hopeful Baptist Church.  She was a licensed practical nurse and enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles and collecting salt and pepper shakers.  Ms. Garber was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Towne and three siblings, John, Billy and Joan.

Survivors include her mother, Grace Towne, Lake City; her son, Mike Perry (Jennifer), Jacksonville; her daughter, Dawn Kruzan, Starke; two brothers, Jerry and Scott Towne (Linda); one sister, Kim Best; and seven grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Emily, Vanessa, Ian, Samantha and Abigail.

A private memorial service was held on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
