Janice "Durenda" Horne Webb, 78, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025 after fighting as hard as she could to overcome a stroke she suffered on June 1st. She was born in Macon, Georgia on January 24, 1947 to the late Thomas Passmore and Martha Rowell Passmore. She has made the Lake City area her home most all of her life and worked for a number of years as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church here in Lake City; and in her spare time, she enjoyed keeping her husband on his toes, reading and fishing. She is preceded in death by her loving first husband, Neal Horne.

She is survived by her loving 2nd husband of twelve years, Judson "Jud" Webb; sons, Tommy Horne (Valarie) and Ricky Horne (Stacey); bonus children, Rebecca Webb and Lee Webb; and her sisters, Pam Horne and Anjette Smith. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a large extended family also survive.

A memorial service of Mrs. Durenda will be conducted on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
