Jane Barnette, 61, of Lake City, FL, died Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center after a lengthy battle with cancer.  A native of Abbeville, AL, she was the daughter of the late A.W. and Doris Williams Barnette.  She was an Auburn graduate and worked as an accountant with Suwannee Valley Electric Coop and last with Gulf Coast Electric Coop in Wewahitcka, FL.  Jane enjoyed reading, traveling, Facebook and was a big Auburn fan.

Survivors include her sister, Amy Guerry (Ted, Sr.), Lake City, FL; her aunt, Euldine Herring, Abbeville, AL; and many cousins whom she was very fond of.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm (CST) at Adoniram Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville, AL with Rev. Otis Derrah officiating and assisted by Tanner Etheridge.  Interment will follow.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 pm (CST) in the Adoniram Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adoniram Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Danny Tye, 918 CR 29, Shorterville, AL 36373.  Cousins are to serve as pallbearers.
