James Earl "Jimmy" Wood, 62, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. He was born in Folkston, Georgia on September 15, 1960 to the late Leroy Wood and Bobbie Nell McCuin Wood. He has been a life-long resident of the Lake City area and was a Carpenter by trade. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, the beach and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana Wood of Lake City; son, Thomas Allan Rike of Lake City; daughter, Dana Rike and granddaughter, Talia Werden both of Indiana. His brothers, Frankie Wood of Lake City & Victor Wood (Denise) of Tennessee; and his sister, Teresa Sanderford of Georgia also survive.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Wood will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 11, 2022 in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday evening, November 10, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
