James Thomas Weeks, 80 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Hollywood, Florida to the late James Thomas Weeks Sr. and Vera Bethea Weeks. Mr. Weeks had made his home in Lake

City for over 30 years having previously been a longtime resident of Highlands County, Florida. He worked for many years as a Rancher in Highlands County before moving to Lake City.  Mr.Weeks then worked for many years for CARC as head of lawn maintenance at the Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He enjoyed fishing and hog hunting when able.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Weeks, Lake City; three sons, James "Tommy" Weeks (Carrie), AL, John Weeks, AL and Mark Weeks, AL; one daughter,

April Bentley (James), Richland, MO; one brother, Danny Weeks, Perry, FL; one

sister, Betty Ann Richards, Lake City, FL; 5 grandchildren, Sharon Lee (Shaw), Ashley Copper, Elizabeth Bentley, Jenniffer (Shawn) Ebling, Jessica Sartin and 10-great grandchildren, Christina, Shaw Jr., James, Hagen, Kamrin, Jace, CJ,Alyssa, Kaylee and Kamden.

A celebration of life for Mr. Weeks will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at 2pm at his granddaughter, Sharon's house in Trenton, FL. (she can be reached at 352-474-7734)
