Mr. James MacArthur Watkins, Sr. 82 passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Homewood Lodge in Mayo, FL. following an extended illness. He is the son of the late William Coleman and Elma Mae Trammell Watkins. He had lived in the White Springs area for twelve years after moving here from Albany, GA. James served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Lake City Moose Lodge, the Eagles, and Joint Service Retirees Coalition (JSRC). He retired from the United States Navy after twenty years and the Civil service after twenty years.

James is survived by his wife of eleven years Roberta Watkins, White Springs, FL; two sons James MacArthur Watkins, Jr. (Vickie) Texas, and Bill Watkins (Lisa) South Carolina, two grandchildren Leah, and James MacArthur Watkins, III, two great-grandchildren Jackson and Emma.
