James J. "Jim" Therrell, Sr. died peacefully surrounded by his family on February 16, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida from complications related to Lewy Body Dementia. Born on May 4, 1945, in Union, South Carolina, to the Rev. Leonard O. Therrell and Mrs. Frances J. Therrell. Jim was an ordained Presbyterian pastor and served local churches for over 10 years before becoming an insurance agent with Farm Bureau for 30 years before retiring. He's survived by his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Therrell, their son, Jay, daughter-in-law, Kendra, and grandson, Paul. There will be a family graveside service in Greenville, South Carolina at the family plot on Friday 2/25/22.
