James Doyle Rooks, Jr., 44 resident of Lake Butler, Fl and former resident of Lake City, Fl, died at his home Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 after a brief illness.

He was a native of Lake City and had made his home here most of his life and was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1987.He loved sports of all kinds, loved to Flea Market, was devoted to his wife and family and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Later Day Saints.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at the Chapel of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025 (386-752-1954) with Bishop Jeff Thomas officiating. Visitation will be after the services at the Funeral Home.
