James Allen Davis, 34, of New Pointe, Virginia passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, January 28, 2017. James was born in Lake City, Florida, the son of James R. Davis and Sandra [Gyger] Pennington and was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 2001. He joined the United States Navy and had proudly served 14 ½  years with them, obtaining the rank of Fire Controlman First Class (FC1/E6).  He was a warm hearted father, son, brother & uncle who loved his children, the Navy, and the Miami Hurricanes.

Survivors include his parents, James R Davis and Sandra (Jason) Pennington both of Lake City, FL; wife Hollie Dannielle Davis; daughters, Hayden Whitmore, Keegan & Sarah Davis; brothers, Joshua (Michelle) Davis of Raiford, FL and Kenneth Snow of Live Oak, FL; nephews, Colin & Caleb Davis.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ronald Richardson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening, February 10, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
