It is with profound sadness that the family of Tim Collier, 67, of High Springs, announce his passing on March 13, 2025 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Tim was born in Radford Virginia and moved to Florida in 1978. After 27 years of employment he retired as a Maintenance Mechanic from the University of Florida. But Tim was an outdoorsman at heart.  He loved hunting and fishing and took every opportunity to enjoy being in the woods of North Florida & Ellaville, Georgia . He was a member of the Gut Pile Hunt Club, which he hilariously named after an annoying property owner next to the club, in Ellaville.  He loved fresh and saltwater fishing in Suwannee, Horseshoe Beach and anywhere else he could toss out a line.  Tim was a fine guitar player that loved most any kind of music but most especially bluegrass…and it didn't take a whole lot of encouragement to get him to play and sing a tune while sitting around a campfire.  He was also a talented artist working with flint, lighter wood & other natural items to make beautiful 3-D wildlife art.  If you were one of the lucky few that received one from him you knew you were considered someone special in his life. He loved working with his hands and could fix or repair almost anything.  He was a great pool player too.  He could leave home with a dollar in his pocket & come home with $300 after a night at the pool table.  His sense of humor and friendship will be missed by all who knew him.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Glenda Collier, daughter Shawna (Steve) Hale of High Springs, brother Mike Collier of Keystone Heights and grandson Trey Peplowski of St Petersburg.  He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Scaggs Camper and father James R Collier.

Please dress casual for the funeral which will be held at graveside at the High Springs Cemetery on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 AM prior to the service at the cemetery.
