James R. Cason, 82 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his home in Lake City.  He was born in Genoa, Florida to the late George Riley Cason and Nellie Hillhouse.  Mr. Cason had lived in Lake City for the past 60 plus years having moved here from Hamilton County, Florida.  He worked for 39 years at Aero, now Timco, and retired in 2002.  He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing, riding in the woods looking for dear and working on cars at his home.  Mr. Cason was preceded in death by his parents, and 8 siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Georgia S. Cason, Lake City; one son, James Randall Cason (Priscilla), Lake City; one daughter, Marshanna Henck (Walter), Lake City; and four grandchildren, Walt Henck, Jr., Jessica Cason, Shelby Cason and Joseph Cason.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Watertown Congregational Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Ogburn officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center.
