James Everett Bell, Jr., 76 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City.  He was born in Paducah, KY to the late James E. Bell, Sr. and Mary Campbell Bell.  Mr. Bell had lived in Lake City for the past 34 years having moved here from Melbourne, FL.  He retired from Bell South in Lake City after many years of employment.  Mr. Bell was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and two children, Erica Dawn Bell and Timothy Bell.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Loretta D. Bell, Lake City, two daughters, Suzanne Allman, Atlanta, GA and Andrea Silcox (Eaan), Lake City; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and 5 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 5-7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
