Mr. James "Jim' K. Bailey, 91, passed away December 27, 2024, at his home in Lake City, FL. He was born June 24, 1933, in Charleston WVA, and was raised in Bradenton, FL; Jim was a retired Chief Petty officer in the US Navy. He joined the Navy in 1950 and served in the Korean and Vietnam War as a Flight Engineer in Aviation Specialist. For twenty-five years and retired from the Florida Department of Corrections. Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother Glen and Edith Bailey one brother Earl Bailey, and his two sisters Rebecca Lewis and Virginia Bailey.

Jim is survived by his Wife Lesa Bailey, Lake City, FL his two sons Glen Bailey, Lake City, FL, and Kenneth Bailey (Shelia) of Virginia, one daughter Rebecca Morris (Tim) Virginia, a special nephew  Joe Lewis (Peggy) Florida, a niece Kathy Chambers, Florida and nephew Rick Lewis, Florida,  and a special sister-in-law Teresa Burgan, Lake City, FL;  special friends that was like family Louis Gainer, Jr., Lai Brown Stebbins, and Brian Phillips. He will be missed by many friends who were like family at the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and the VFW in Lake City, FL.

Jim's family is planning a celebration of Life at the Lake City Moose Lodge #624 on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.
