Obituary

SSGT Jacob Lucas Livingston, United States Air Force, 23 of Lake City died on December 26, 2004 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Okinawa, Japan. A native of Lake City, Jacob joined the Air Force after graduating from Columbia High School in 1999. Upon completion of basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, Jacob then completed technical school at Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. Jacob was currently serving in his first re-enlistment and was planning to make a career in the Air Force having already served for five years. Jacob had taken many college courses through the Air Force in the communications field and was currently working as a communications and navigations technician. Jacob was proud to serve in the Air Force which drove him to advance more rapidly than his peers to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was awarded the following medals, the Air Force Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Award, the Non Commissioned Professional Education Award and the Air Force Training Ribbon. Jacob was currently stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan and previously at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa where he enjoyed playing in the flag football and basketball leagues. He also coached little league baseball and basketball in the MacDill Air Force Base recreation program for two seasons. Jacob attended Christ Central Ministries Church in Lake City and was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James E. Creamer in 1997.

SSGT Livingston is survived by his wife, Laura Mari Livingston, Casselberry, FL, his mother, Brenda Creamer Cunningham, Lake City, his father, James Lee Livingston, Horseshoe Beach, Fl, one brother, John Lewis Livingston, Lake City, his maternal grandmother, Ms. Beatrice Creamer, Lawtey, Fl, his paternal grandmother, Ms. Evelyn McCulley, Lake Butler and his paternal great-grandmother, Ms. Mildred Allen, Clermont, FL. Step brothers Josh and Jeremiah Hook, both of Lake City, and the extended Hook family; numerous aunts, uncles, extended family, friends and the Register family, Jerry, Pam, Matthew, Levi and Jessica, who were a close family of friends to Jacob also survive.

Funeral services for SSGT Jacob Lucas Livingston will be conducted on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Christ Central Ministries Church with Pastor?s Lonnie Johns and Mark Johns officiating. A graveside committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
