Jackie Edris Taylor-McCrary

Mrs. Jackie E. Taylor-McCrary, 78, of Lake City passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family after a year long battle with cancer. A native of McKee, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Sallie Malicote Summers. She had owned and operated her real estate company, Jackie Taylor & Associates since 1982 and prior to that she owned and operated Kings and Queens Hair Salon. She was of the Baptist faith. Jackie loved working in the yard and her flower gardens, and antiquing with her twin sister, Opal. She also loved doting on her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jackie’s husband of 49 years, Jackie D. Taylor , predeceased her. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Thomas Roger McCrary; son, Jeffrey Taylor (Susan); daughter Jacquilynn Julee Taylor; step-children, Jason (Katie) McCrary and Shayna (Stephen) Benge; brothers, Homer Summers, Russell Summers (Myrtle), two deceased brothers, Ronnie and Floyd Summers; sister Opal Colter (Bill); grandchildren, John Taylor (Michelle), Summer Ames (Tyler), and Joshua Taylor; step-grandchildren, Kason and Haidyn McCrary and Brylen and Holly Ericksen; great grandchildren, Harlow and Hudson Taylor, Lyla, Ellison, and Waylon Ames; sister in law, Glennice Beauchamp (Rick) and a very special niece, Jennifer Lake as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Jackie will be held at 12:00 (Noon) on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Gareway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home one hour before service (11:00-12:00).
