Jack Robert Hudson, 88, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1937, to Clyde and Myrtle (Seabolt) Hudson.
Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army, and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. His life was marked by devotion to his family, service to his country, and a deep love for those around him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances "Fran" B. Hudson with whom he shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was the cornerstone of his life, and he longed to be reunited with her. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Jack is survived by his children: Keith Hudson (Candice), Douglas Hudson (Lori), and Eric Hudson (Theresa). He was a proud grandfather to Sandy Howell (Greg), Hannah Knighton (Brent), Brian Hudson (Amber), Mary Hudson, Erin Herringer (Jason), Gabe Hudson (Destiny), and Cassidy Hudson. His joy was multiplied through his great-grandchildren: Alexis, Trey, Emmett, Jacksyn, Stella, and Ashlynn.
Jack will be remembered for his dedication to family, his unwavering strength, and the love he poured into every generation. He found his greatest happiness in time spent with family, especially surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at First Full Gospel Church in Lake City, Florida, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, where Jack will be laid to rest beside his loving wife, Fran.
