Iris Lore Burton, 76, of Clermont, formerly of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 10, 2024 after an extended illness. She was born in Mannheim, Germany on May 18, 1947 to the late Willi Schollhammer and Herta Schollhammer. She has lived in Florida since 1963, moving here from Germany. She worked for Disney as a Character Attendant for a little over eleven years before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, drawing, painting, crafting, gardening and making flower arrangements. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kurt Adam and her sister, Anneliese Faralli.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-three years, Johann Prettner of Clermont; son, Michael Burton (Leslie) of Lake City; and her daughter, Vienna Raulerson (Jimmy) of Lake City. Adopted Son, Jimmie Faralli of Port Orange, step-daughter, Claudia Krenn (Gernet) of Austria along with six grandchildren, Blake Raulerson of Lake City, Kaylie Stevens (Kyle) of Cape Coral, Michaela Burton (Chip Stevens) of Jacksonville, Breann Lane (Seth) of Lake City, Katelyn Burton of Lake City and Nikolai Lee (Marissa) of Port Orange; and four great-grandchildren, Trace Raulerson of Lake City, Dawson Lane of Lake City, Carolina Lane of Lake City and Kennedy Stevens of Cape Coral with one more on the way also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Burton will be conducted on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Chris Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service at the funeral home.
