Mrs. Iris Pennington Bundy, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Health Center of Lake City. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Edis and Nettie [Leigh] Pennington and has lived in Lake City since 1955. Iris was a graduate of Columbia High School (Class of 1962), was a volunteer at Fort White High School, and an active FFA Parent Alumni. She retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 32 years as a Security Secretary. She was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church and Church Secretary for 20+ years. Mrs. Iris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her faith and to the care of her family and friends.

Survivors include her wonderful husband of 49 years, Harold E. Bundy Sr.; son Harold E. (Stephanie) Bundy Jr.; daughter, LeaAnne Bundy; brother, Homer (Linda) Pennington; grandchildren, Caleb & Shelby Bundy and Alex Green all of Lake City, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday , March 10, 2016, at Eastside Baptist Church with Reverend Hugh Dampier, Dr. Wade Howell and Reverend Brandon Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
