Mr. Ingo Johr, Sr. 87, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Lake City Veterans Administration Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 23, 1930 to the late William Johr and Luisa Montag Johr. He has made Lake City his home since 1984, having lived in Ohio, Louisiana, North Carolina and Clearwater areas prior. He enjoyed reading in his spare time as well as tinkering with his computer, cooking and working at the church. He was of the Methodist faith and is a member of the First United Methodist Church here in Lake City; he was also a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Johr of Lake City; sons; Scot Ferguson (Kathleen) of Wisconsin and Ingo "J.J." Johr, Jr. of Gainesville; daughter; Leslie Jo Phillips (Robin) of Lakeland along with 4 grandchildren also survive.

As per Mr. Johr's wishes, he will be cremated, and his ashes interned in the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Lake City.
