Ida Mae Parrish, 81, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Shands University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville after an extended illness. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey on March 23, 1940 and has made Lake City her home since 2016, moving here from Miami, FL. She was known to be a "Pistol" and loved playing bingo. She was also very quick witted and loved to dress up and dance. She is preceded in death by her mother, Modess Summers and three children, Leroy Williams, Victoria Parrish and Michael Parrish.
She is survived by her sons, Howard Parrish (Natasha), Quinton Parrish (Cathy) and Gregory Lucky; and her daughters, Rosemary Parrish Rogers (Kenneth) and Monique Barr. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great granchildren also survive.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Parrish will be conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M.. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.
