Ida Monds Moore, 86, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 4, 2021 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Live Oak on December 21, 1934 to the late William and Myrtle Carver Monds. She has made Lake City her home for over the last 40 years. Her and her husband were members of the former Berea Baptist Church in Lake City and attended the Southside Baptist Church in Lake City. She was a LPN since the mid 1970's and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading her bible and taking cat naps. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Monds and Ed Monds.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, James Moore, Jr., of Lake City; daughters, Claudia Parsons (Vernon) and Melinda Griffith both of Lake City; step-daughter, Pat Reynolds of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Michael Carson (Cristy), Julie Cannon (Clarence), Tracy Christie (Mooch) and Monica Reifeiss (Jeff); nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with one on the way.

Graveside services for Mrs. Moore will be conducted on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Larry Sweat officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, April 7, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
