Ida Mae Linnane, 76, of Lake City, FL, passed away on July 1, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1946, in Thomasville, GA, to Delma and Eunice Hurst. Ida was a loving mother, wife, and woman of faith. Always cheerful and willing to help anyone in need, she will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature.Ida had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at the beach, particularly St. George Island.

She found solace in the beauty of nature and cherished every moment spent in its embrace. Ida was also known for her artistic talents and had a passion for painting, sewing, quilting, and gardening. She found joy in creating beautiful works of art and nurturing her garden. In her professional life, Ida had a successful career with the Florida Department of Transportation. Her dedication and hard work were evident in her role, and she made valuable contributions to the organization. Additionally, Ida was a licensed Realtor, utilizing her expertise to help others find their dream homes.

Family was of utmost importance to Ida, and she cherished her loved ones deeply. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Linnane, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Ida is also survived by her brother, Robert Hurst, and his wife Elizabeth, her son Jarrod Beach and his wife Lisa, her stepdaughter Lisa Linnane, her stepdaughter Becky Gustas and her husband Rich, her grandson Devon Beach, her granddaughters Maren Beach, Addison Beach, Kayla Hamilton, Riley Gustas, and Katie Gustas. She was preceded in death by her father, Delma Hurst, her mother, Eunice Hurst, and her brother, Jessie Hurst. Ida Mae Linnane will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and love for her family will forever be remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.

Funeral services for Ida Mae Linnane will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2023. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
