Mr. Hubert Rex Curry, 84, of Lake City, went to be with his savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 25, 2024.  Hubert was born in Ponce DeLeon, Florida to the late Kern and Estelle Curry.

Hubert enjoyed gardening, feeding the deer, drag racing and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rae Curry of Fort White, son Shawn Curry of Fort White, daughter Tina Ferguson (Johnnie) of Lake City, granddaughter Amanda Ferguson of Lake City,

sister Charlene Young (Lanny) of Floral City, sister Ruth Capps of Arcadia, brother Roy Curry (Janice) of Homosassa, sister Levida Towson (Matthew) of Gainesville, brother Charles Curry (Deborah) of Oldsmar, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service for Hubert will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Bo Bush officiating.  Visitation for friends and family will be from 2:00-3:00, Service from 3:00-3:30.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
