Mr. Hollis V. Futch, 80 of Lake City, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City.  He was born in Plant City, Florida to the late Fredrick and Florida Simmons Futch and had made his home in Lake City since 1998.  Mr. Futch was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a member of the Glen Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Glen St. Mary, FL.  Mr. Futch enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, reading and studying his Bible.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Mary Futch, Lake City; two sons, Randy Futch, West Palm Beach, FL and Dennis J. Futch (Brandy), DeLeon Springs, FL; one daughter, Melinda Fryman (Ted), Lake City; one brother, Fred Futch (Linda), Plant City, FL; two sisters, Marion McClure (Jim) and Nettie Ann Rodgers (Guy) both of Bushnell, FL; and three grandchildren, Christopher Fryman, Clearwater, FL, Vanessa Futch, Deland, FL and Mckenzie Futch, DeLeon Springs, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Arnold Johns, pastor of Glen Hill Primitive Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow.  Visitation with the family will be from 12:30-2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
