Ms. Hettie Faye Wheeler, aged 78 of Lake City, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 8, 2021, after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City, FL on September 28, 1943 to the late Bill and Bonnie Jackson Wheeler. She was a lifelong resident of Lake City, FL and a member of the Lake City Church of God for many years. Ms. Wheeler worked as a waitress in Lake City until she retired and loved meeting people while waitressing.
She is survived by siblings Billy Frank Wheeler (Bonita), Ralph Wheeler (Libby), and sister-in-law Clydie Wheeler; children Hilda Jolley Albritton, Billy E Jolley (Cynthia), Homer E Jolley Jr. (Kathy) and Andrew Jolley (Lynette). She had 15 grandchildren, all of them special in her eyes, although she did an excellent job raising Stephanie Jolley and Daniel Morgan and they had the honor to call her Mom! She adored all 21 great grandchildren. Ms. Wheeler is also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Leo Wheeler and Freddie Paul Wheeler and great grandson Ryan Michael Jolley.
Services for Ms. Wheeler will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the services.
