Herman Daniel "Danny" Douberly, 73, of Lake City, formerly of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 13, 2019 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. He was born in Columbia County on December 17, 1945 to the late Herman and Estelle Lee Douberly. He served in the National Guard for 6 years and worked with Quality Fab in Lake City for many years.

He is survived by two sisters, Marie Douberly Whitely (Carl) of Lake City and Jewell Morse (Tom) of Pinetta; brother, Charles Douberly (Celia) of Lake City; sister-in-laws, Charlene Martin (Bill), Susan Godwin (Charles), Kelli Lipthrott (William) and Kristi Quick (Michael). A very devoted friend, Dixie Phillips, who helped us care for Danny during his last days whom we are eternally grateful for, two great-nieces, Ashley Rae Horton and Meegan Whitely along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends also survive.

At this time, there are no services scheduled for Mr. Douberly, he will be interred in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery next to his parents at a later date.
