Mrs. Helen Faye Kalb, 91, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice). Helen was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Luther C. and Rebecca [Lee] Eyester and had lived in Lake City for the past 38 years. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, going to the beach, and devoting herself to the love and care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Eyester and her beloved husband of 59 years, Walter Kalb (2010).

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Richard) Odom of Lake City, FL ; sons, Charlie (Debbie) Kalb of Lake City, FL, Richard (Sherry) Werner of Lakeland, FL, and Lewis Robert (Margaret) Werner of Whigam, GA; sister, Patricia L. Strauch of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Mt Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church one half hour prior to service time (12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
