Harry Curtis "Curt" Lang, 57, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 after an automobile accident. He was born in Lake City on January 4, 1967 to the late Harry and Ruth Lang. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked all of his life as a Truck Driver, and for the last ten years with the BTR Logging Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed his motorcycles, planting and tending to his garden and spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 34 years, Shelia Lang of Lake City; son, Curtis Shayne Lang (Lorielle) of Lake City; daughter, Tia Lang Gainey (Ryan) of Lake City; his sisters, Lorie Ann Howard (Neal) of Live Oak and Janice Russ (Pastor Ronnie) of Lake City; and his father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Keen of Lake City. Nine grandchildren, Payton, Kaydence, Karlee, Langsley, Beckam, Clint, Elliott, Asa Shayne and Crete; along with numerous special nieces and nephews with one great-grandchild, Sadie on the way, also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Lang will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randy Ogburn, Sr., Pastor Byron Ogburn and Pastor Ronnie Russ officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
