Mrs. Gloria R. Cain, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 19th, 2015. Gloria was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Virgil G. and Marguerite Thompson and has lived in Lake City, Florida for the past 42 years. She was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who devoted her life to the service of the Lord and her family. She was a beloved member of Parkview Baptist Church and will be missed deeply by her Christian family.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Douglas Thompson.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Clyde Lee Cain Sr. of Lake City, FL; sons, Clyde Lee (Cindy) Cain Jr. of Raleigh, NC and David Brian Cain of Middleburg, FL; brother, Paul V. Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Julie (Jeff) Schroeder, Laura (Andy) Levandoski, Shannon (Danny) Clark, Brian Cain, Dylan Cain and Devin Cain; 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 at Parkview Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Tatem officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service time (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.) at Parkview.
