Gloria Kelly Wilkerson, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at WillowBrook Assisted Living Facility. Gloria was born in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of the late Beldon K. and Minnie [Sylvester] Kelly, and lived here in Lake City since 1952. She graduated from Branford High School, class of 1947 as the salutatorian. She owned and operated Gloria's Beauty Salon from 1966 until 2011, and was a distributor for Vivian Woodward Cosmetics. She was a loving mother, grand and great-grandmother, who enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, fishing, going to the beach and spending time talking with people. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, David & Floyd Kelly and her former husband of 25 years, Paul J. Wilkerson (2000).

Survivors include her son, John Cleveland "Rocky" (Shelda) Wilkerson; daughters, Paula Wilkerson (Jerry) Cooper and Tami Wilkerson (Ronnie) Drake; sister, Vida Mae Kelly Hunt; nephews, Ed and Charles Hunt; grandchildren, Kelli Cooper Williams, Haley Drake Caban, and Kori Drake; great grandchildren, Cooper and Lynlee Williams, Cienna Caban.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016, in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Eddie Blalock officiating. Private family entombment will be held at a later time. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am (1 hour) prior to services at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at WillowBrook for the kindness, care, and professionalism, that their mother was shown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity/cause of your choice, in her memory.
