Mrs. Gloria Jean DeStefanis, 81, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2023, after a lifelong illness. She was born September 26, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late John and Lena DePinto she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John DePinto, Jr. Gloria was an active member of Faith Life Church in Port Charlotte, FL before moving to Lake City with her husband in 2021. She had experience as a cosmetologist, model home manager, and county building department clerk before retiring from Charlotte County Utilities. She enjoyed Hallmark movies, bird watching, and spending time with her friends and family.

Gloria leaves behind her devoted husband of thirty- seven years, Michael DeStefanis, daughter Vicki Oden (Chuck) of Lake City, FL; and son Michael O'Connell (Jennifer) of North Port, FL; she also leaves her beloved granddaughters Stefanie Craig (Ken) Colorado Springs, CO; Kerrie DeLoach (Ricky)Lake City, FL; Heather (Jesse Ruiz) O'Connell, Elkhart, IN, and great-grandchildren Sydney Jean Craig, KJ Craig and JJ Ruiz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Church on the Way Located at 196 SE James Avenue on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dale Tompkins officiating. Interment will follow in Forest lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
