Gloria "Janice" Griffin Cox, 78, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 22, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, Janice lived a life full of devotion to her family and faith. She spent much of her life in Atlanta, GA, Summerville, South Carolina, and Lake City, Florida.

She poured her time and talents into the roles she cherished most—mother, grandmother, and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many church callings, with her favorite being that of a Family History Consultant, where she helped others connect with their ancestry and heritage. Above all, her proudest calling was that of being a loving mother and grandmother.

Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Lewis Cox, and their seven children: David (Michelle), Robert, Ross (Tracy), Nathan (Heather), Emily (Vince), Cathy (Greg), and Michael (Laurel). Her legacy continues through her 26 grandchildren: David Jr. (Cheslea), Mason, Connor, and Mallory Morgan; Cassidy and Madison Cox; Braden, Kaitlyn and Owen Cox; Hannah, Noah, Caleb and Sarah Cox; Mia and Jake Morgan; Vanessa, Kendall, Timmy, Reese, Kai, Claire, and Sheldon Todd; Teddy, Oliver, Sam, and Adaline Cox. She also has 4 great grandchildren: Layla, Zoey, Bristol, and Brinnley.

She is also survived by her siblings, Joan and Chip, and was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Sybil Griffin. A memorial service for Janice Cox will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 909 SE Country Club Rd, Lake City, FL  32025 Saturday, June 14, 2025, Viewing: 3:00 pm and a Service: 4:00 pm
