Glennis J. Pounds

Glennis J. Pounds, 82, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 29, 2026 with her daughters by her side. She was born in Winter Haven, Florida on December 30, 1943 to the late John Harrison Hughes and the late Dean Conley Hughes. She has made Lake City her home since 1975, moving here from Deland, Florida and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, John E. Pounds,and her brother, Harry Hughes.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Kimberly Dicks (Alan) and Lisa McInnis (Jeremiah) both of Lake City; grandchildren, A.J. Ross, Ashlee Baker (Kyle), Brandon Oliver, Kaleb Dicks (Kaylee) and Kelsey Bevington (Jacob); and great-grandchildren, Axton Ross, Hudson Baker, Bennett Baker, Dalton Baker, Koah Dicks and Willow Ross.

As per Mrs. Pounds’ wishes, no services will be held, and she will be interred privately next to her husband in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
