Glenda Faye Causey, 81, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 31, 2022 at the Lake City Rehab Center. She was born in Enterprise, Alabama on July 20, 1940 to the late John D. Westbrook and Fannie Merle Cogburn Westbrook. She has made Lake City her home since 2006 and was a member of the Evangel Church of God. She is a 1959 High School graduate of Palm Beach High and was a legal secretary for close to 30 years and inspected Church of God Private Schools. She was a Church of God Minister's wife for close to 40 years, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly! She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Leland L. Alderman in 2002; her brother, John D. Westbrook, Jr.; her daughters, Vanessa Dawn Alderman and Maranatha Joy Tyler; and her step-son, John Causey.
She is survived by her husband, Larry B. Causey; son, John Marvin Alderman (Celina); daughter, Desiree Steiner (Jim) and step-daughter, Becky Love (Jason); daughter-in-law, Michele Causey; brothers, Doug Westbrook, William Westbrook and Earl Mewbourn (Gail). Sister-in-Law, Betty Coulter (Gene), Palm Bay; Twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Causey will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Evangel Church of God with Pastor Rick Holmes and Pastor John Hathaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Fountainhead Memorial Park Cemetery in Palm Bay, Florida on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 1:00 P.M.. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the church.
