Matthew Glen Perry, 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his residence following an illness. He is the son of the late Jack Wallace Perry and Sylvia North and the grandson of the late George and Mary Perry. He had lived in Lake City all his life and was of the Methodist faith and lived to race jet skis, ATVs, and motorcycles. He was a world-class jet ski racer and won the World Cup twice racing jet skis. He owned and operated Perry Performance Group that he started in 1997; he traveled and raced Jet skis through the US and from Australia to the Philippines. And his greatest joy was he “Loved to take care of people.”
He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years Connie Perry, Lake City, FL; one sister Valerie Woska, Orlando, FL; his aunt Janice Harrell, Lake City, FL; two nieces, Kate Woska Sirtori, Paris, France, Emily Claire Groszewski, Boston, MA, cousins Stephen and Matt Harrell both of Lake City, FL and a host of extended family also survive.
A memorial service for Mr. Glen Perry will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Gateway- Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 11 AM.
