Mr. Garry Wayne Dampier, 80, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. He was born in Lake City, FL to the late Howard and Ouida Dampier. He was of the Baptist Faith, he worked for the Florida Forestry Service for thirty-four years, he was a die-hard Florida Gator Fan and enjoyed the game of golf.

Mr. Garry is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Dampier, Lake City, FL; Melissa Gritz (Adrian) Gainesville, FL; four grandchildren Remy Gritz, Kara Gritz, of Gainesville, FL; Jax and Jayden Dampier of Lake City and his siter Carolyn Kirby, Lake City, FL; and his brother Hugh Dampier (Shirley) Lake City, FL.

A funeral service for Mr. Dampier will be conducted on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Reverend Hugh Dampier officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00P.M.
