Obituary

Frankie Mae Stalvey, 78, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 11, 2025 at the HCA Florida- Lake City Hospital in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City on April 8, 1946 to the late James Delvin Wheeler and Pansy Mae Davis Wheeler. She was the owner and operator of Sunshine Florist in Lake City, that she absolutely loved for over 40 years until ill health forced her to retire. She was also a member of the Eastside Baptist Church here in Lake City. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching TV, especially gameshows and talk shows; and looking after her family, whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 42 years, George William Stalvey; and her sons, William Scott Stalvey, Mark Todd Stalvey and George Randall Stalvey.

She is survived by her one son and her one daughter; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister and her two brothers.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will follow. The family appreciates flowers being considered to be a small live plant or a house plant to be planted in a garden in memory of Mrs. Stalvey.
