Ms. Frankie Geraldine "Ms. Jerrie" Norris Houston, 92, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, evening January 16, 2024, following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late John Frank and Emma Hattie Beckham Norris and she is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-four years Bobby Joe Houston. Ms. Jerrie is preceded in death by five brothers Johnny, Tommy, Bo, Wendell, PeeWee Norris, and two sisters Jean Craig and Linda Norris, and a daughter-in-law Cindy Houston, and a son in law Johnny Geiger She was a lifelong member of Athens Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and was known for her renowned sour cream pound cake and her chicken and dumplings, she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved red roses.

Ms. Jerrie is survived by four sons Robbie Houston (Theresa), Rickey Houston (Tracey), Dale Houston, and Chester Houston all of Lake City, FL; two daughters Bobbie Sue Geiger and Marsha Moore (Dewey) both of Lake City, FL. fourteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. Along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Ms. Jerrie will be conducted on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Athens Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Spradley officiating. interment will follow at Siloam Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on the day of service at the church.
