Obituary


Frank Taylor, 75, of Lake City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Shands in Gainesville, Florida
Born March 6, 1937 in Suwannee County, to the late Clifton and Lesie Register Taylor, he was in the Florida National Guard for 32 years, retired from the Florida Department of Transportation after 30 years, preached many years at various churches, was a member of the Corinth Masonic Lodge #93 F&AM for over 50 years, and he loved fishing, camping at Suwannee Town and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by four brothers; Carlton Taylor, Dewey Taylor, John Taylor, Witt Taylor, one sister; Daisy Graddy; one great grandchild, Jesse Chicas.
Mr. Taylor is survived by one son; Leslie Taylor (Elaine Thomas), of Lake City, three daughters; Brenda Jones and husband Jimmy, of Lake City, Gail Pearson and husband Steve of Lee, Fl, and Lynn Curry of Macclenny, Fl., two brothers; Edward Taylor and wife Mary, of Lake City, Robert Taylor and wife Sue, of Taylorville, FL., three sisters; Bobby Jean Tomlinson, of Taylorville, FL., Margaret Waters, of Lake City, FL., Ruth Lang and husband Harry of Lake City, FL., Thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren and his beloved dog Precious.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Law and Mitchell Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Beulah Baptist Cemetery in Suwannee County. Family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Wellborn Baptist Church Youth Fund, PO Box 228 Wellborn, Fl 32094.
