Francis "Tim" Gregory Hutton

Mr. Francis “Tim” Gregory Hutton, 71, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. He was the son of the late Francis Claire and Mildred Edwards Hutton. He had made Lake City his home for the past forty years after moving from Jacksonville, FL.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, sitting on his porch, and being outdoors, and he was the family handyman. As his family often said, “He could fix anything.”

He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Betty Hutton, of Lake City, FL; his children, Jeff Tates (Tasha) of Ellabell, Georgia; Timothy “TJ” Hutton, of Lake City, Florida; Becky Tates (Ray) of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and Stacy Hutton of Lake City, Florida; his sister, Darlene Bartlett (Bill) of Valrico, Florida; and three grandchildren, Jett, Zach, and Gavin.

A funeral service for Tim will be conducted on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Gateway- Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Edenfield officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tim’s memory to either Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
