Ms. Frances Taylor Ash, 67, of Lake City died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, Frances was the daughter of the late Benjamin T. and Dollie Mae Jordan Taylor. She retired from Florida Gateway College as a Human Resource Specialist after 30 years of service. Hobbies that Ms. Ash enjoyed were spending time with her grandchildren, crafts, going to movies with her friends, her Red Hat Society Ladies, and gardening. Ms. Ash was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lake City.

Ms. Ash is survived by her daughter, Stephanie A. Massey (Jason) of Ft. White; brothers, James Taylor (Betsy) of Lake City and Benny Taylor (Joan) of Live Oak; sister, Esta Mae Bedenbaugh (Roy) of Lake City; grandchildren, Bryce, Dakota, and Ashlyn Massey all of Ft. White.

Funeral services for Ms. Ash will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
